Armen Ambartsoumian of the American Chess Academy is running a small rapid tournament (G/25 w/ 5 second delay) on September 25th, 2011 in honor of Armenian Independence day. The event will host a 3,000 $ prize fund, and has the support of local grandmasters and masters alike: GM Varuzhan Akobian, GM Melikset Khachiyan, WGM Tatev Abrahamyan, IM Andranik Matikozyan, etc.
The event is unrated and a good opportunity for local players to match wits with local masters, international masters, and grandmasters.
