World Chess Championship Match: Anand strikes back in the game #2

FIDEThe World Chess Championship match continued with its second games yesterday. All chess fans were curious whether and how Anand manage the game after being smashed in the first game on Saturday.

And he managed very well! Catalan opening was played, Anand sacrified a pawn for some pressure. Topalov had to play patiently, but it is probably something he doesn’t like to much. His move 25…. Ne3 was bad and Topalov’s position became lost.

The score of the match is 1:1 now. Today is the rest day, the third game will be played on Tuesday 27th at 15.00 UTC.
