Decline of the Spanish boot

Today I would like to show you one of my games from the last team competition I played. It was not successful neither for my team nor myself. I was able to keep up with stronger opponents, but I lost points with weaker ones even when I built good and promising position. The game, which I am going to show you, is the example of that.

The game started like a normal Ruy Lopez. During the time I was able to create some pressure to the king’s flank, but when there was the moment when I was supposed to put my advantage into effect, I made a mistake in my 22nd move (I had to play 22.e6 and then 23.Nh5) and finally lost the complete game.

I hope you will find the game interesting. Don’t hesitate to leave your comments below the article.
